Welcome to Cragg Farm
Cragg Farm rises from the Eskdale valley, up onto the open fell beyond where it meets Raven Crag. From here incredible views abound in all directions, taking in the highest peaks of the Lake District, the Cumbrian coastline and out across the Irish sea. The varied habitats of temperate rainforest, peat bogs, upland pasture and meadows means we are lucky to share the farm with an abundance of wildlife.
Our home
We made Cragg Farm our family home in 2020. Since then, we have been busy getting to grips with farming as well as restoring and repairing our buildings and home. There is much to learn and we are enjoying throwing ourselves into this new way of life as a family.
Our Vision
Our vision at Cragg Farm is to find a way of life that sustains us happily and healthily and that enables nature to thrive as much as possible. We want to understand and celebrate the history and traditions of farming life in the Lake District, producing high quality meat and wool. We are also working hard to capture carbon, increase biodiversity and improve water quality.
